When you think of burlesque, you think of fan dancing. And, to be honest, if you're going to learn fan dancing you have to have the proper tools.

In the photo above you can see Kitty dancing with two fans; one of our ostrich fans in her left hand and a small marabou fan in her right. It's not hard to see how difficult it would be to learn to hide and reveal with the marabou! They are inflexible and small.

The problem for students is that ostrich feather fans are extremely expensive - a pair of decent, layered fans cost a couple of hundred pounds or more.

Here at Kitty Golightly Burlesque we are very proud of Kitty's fans. Handmade in England, and measuring over 50 inches across, they are one of a kind and worth around £350 per pair. We have enough pairs to provide each of our students with a set to work with during fan lessons.

Be aware that there are many different types of fans and many different types of ostrich feathers. Every single pair of fans Kitty provides is double layered and made with male wing feathers, which are the fluffiest and most luxurious around. And we are the only school in East Anglia to provide them.

Overall, all of these things add up to some very lovely fans - a very proud Kitty and some pretty happy students!
